Its been an odd year for the album, with some bands abandoning the idea all together, and some artists (Women, Arcade Fire, and Kanye West) returned to the concept of the album as a complete story. For us, we found that most of our favorite songs came while listening to them within the album they came from, although we found ourselves listening to tracks and playlists on blogs more than ever. We come from a time before the Internet, so the 12 tracks put together by one artist is still our favorite.
Here are our favorite 15 songs of 2010, in order of which matters only in our “play count” in iTunes.
